  • Kate Harding’s article on about Kevin Smith’s Southwest Airlines debacle.
  • Nancy Jo Sales’ super-fascinating in-depth report on the “Burglar Bunch” aka those upper-middle class teenagers that burglarized the homes of their favorite celebrities. It’s in the March issue of Vanity Fair but it’s available online here.
  • The Democracy Now! interview with John Nichols and Robert McChesney (Evergreen grad!) about their new book, The Death and Life of American Journalism: The Media Revolution that Will Begin the World Again.
  • Jessica Valenti’s Washington Post op-ed about the myth that American women have achieved total and absolute equality; serves as a good reminder about what brought me to feminism in the first place
  • Corby Hummer’s article in the March issue of the Atlantic about Wal-Mart’s new effort to sell organic and locally-grown food. Best part? A chef serves a group of 16 foodies do a blind test test between food purchased Wal-Mart. and Whole Foods. It’s an interesting read in terms of a class analysis between the two stores, but the author doesn’t really delve into that as much as I’d like.
  • The Daily Beasts’ list of the best journalists of the Left
  • Scott Anderson’s article in the February issue of National Geographic on the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
